The Talon's Trail to Triumph 5K is a charity event held on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The event takes place at River Front Park in Brandenburg, Kentucky.
Events and Registration
There are three event options. Registration ends on August 1, 2026.
- Talons 5K Run/Walk: This is the main event with a price of $25.
- Talons Kids' 12 & Under Run: This is a free event for participants aged 12 and under.
- VIRTUAL 5K Run/Walk: A virtual participation option is available for $30.
Charity Purpose
The event is a fundraiser for the family of Talon Lopez, a 10-year-old boy with an anoxic brain injury resulting from a near-fatal ATV accident and drowning. Proceeds from registrations and donations go towards his medical expenses and treatments to improve his quality of life.
Additional Information
Packet pickup for the event begins on race day at 8:00 AM.
Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female finishers in several age categories.
Participants must register by July 17, 2026, to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. A limited supply of extra shirts will be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
