Lake Vista Lunatics Run

Borden, United States • 8 Nov 2026

Event details

The Lake Vista Lunatics Run is an endurance trail event at Deam Lake SRA in Borden, IN, held on Nov 8. It offers timed endurance options and a separate fun run on a marked loop. Registration is limited to fewer than 50 spots before waitlisting; registration closes on Fri, Nov 6 at 11:59 PM ET.

Distances and formats:

  • 6 hour endurance run
  • 12 hour endurance run
  • Fun Run - one lap (4.167 miles)

The lap measures 4.167 miles. The course includes a summit with grades around 25 to 30 percent, several creek crossings that can usually be hopped, occasional downed trees, and rooty, rocky technical sections near the top. Runners return to the crew area or start line between laps to refill water bottles and nutrition. At the top of each subsequent hour runners begin another lap; this continues for the duration committed to the 6 hour or 12 hour event. The format is not a last man standing event; runners must start laps at designated times and missed starts require waiting for the next scheduled start.

Results are based on total time for all laps; the lowest total time with no missed laps determines the winner. A finisher medal is awarded and prizes are given to top male and female endurance finishers. A Lake Vista baseball cap is included with registration.
