Country Lake 5K
The Country Lake 5K is a run, walk and jog event held on the grounds of Country Lake Christian Retreat in Underwood, Indiana. The event takes place on the retreat's 200 acre property and follows a course that winds around the lake and through wooded areas.
Historically the course was about 75 percent rugged trail and 25 percent road. Organizers adjusted the route to include more roadway and less rugged trail while preserving access to scenic sections of the property. Timing is provided by Photo Finish Timing, LLC.
Registration is open for the event on October 24, 2026, with registration available from August 7, 2026 through October 24, 2026. The registration fee is $25 per person and includes a t-shirt for registrations completed prior to October 11, 2026. A portion of registration proceeds has been donated to local schools, clubs and athletic programs and donations to a community partner are planned for this edition.
The Country Lake 5K is scheduled to be followed by the Country Lake Community Day Fall Festival on the same grounds. Admission to the festival is free and activities listed for the day include a zip line, paintball, axe throwing, volleyball, basketball, off-road jeep rides, live music and a variety of food trucks.
