The Crooked Creek 5K Trail Challenge takes place Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Harry S. Frazier Scout Reservation in Shepherdsville, KY (950 Terry Drive, 40165). The event is held on trails at Camp Crooked Creek, which includes more than 1,000 acres of rolling hills with oaks, hickories, and beeches. The course passes near John Barr Lake, a 70-acre lake located within the race village. The site also hosts longer trail events, including a 50-mile, a marathon, and a half-marathon.

Race details

There are two separate 5K trail events, one on each day. Registration is listed at $15 per runner. A race T-shirt is available for $10 if purchased by November 21, 2025. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Camp Crooked Creek Dining Hall, or on race day beginning at 7:00 AM.
