Louisville Lovin' The Hills
Brooks, United States • 23 May 2026
Event Overview
Louisville Lovin' the Hills is a trail running event. It started in 2004. The event offers three distances on single-track trails through the forest: a 50K, a 15 Miler, and a 6 Miler.
The Course
The 50K course is known as one of the harder 50K races in the region. It is built by combining three trail sections. The 6 Miler uses the Red/Orange Trail. The 15 Miler adds the Blue, Yost, and Purple Heart trails. The full 50K then adds the Siltstone and Scott's Gap trails.
Additional Activities
The event organizes training runs in January leading up to race day. A pasta dinner is offered during packet pickup the day before the race. After the race, participants gather at the Horine Center for hot homemade soup. Each finisher receives a wooden medal. Extra swag, like neck gaiters, is offered to the first 200 registrants for the 50K or 15 Miler distances.
The event is associated with the Land Between the Lakes (LBL) race. Participants who complete both events in the same year can receive a special award.
Practical Information
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at a specified outdoor store. It is also available on race morning at the start area, the Horine Center on Holsclaw Hill Road in Fairdale, Kentucky. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
