New Hope Wesleyan Ultra Trail Run

Scheduled for October 24, 2026, this event takes place at O'Bannon Woods State Park in Harrison County, Indiana. It presents multiple trail distances over predominantly single-track trails with rocky sections, moderate to steep hills, and forested scenery.

Race distances:

• 50K Ultra Trail Run: 31.1 miles, elevation ~4,500 ft
• Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, elevation ~1,500 ft
• 6.6 Mile Trail Run: 6.6 miles, elevation ~700 ft
• 5K Trail Fun Run: 3.1 miles, elevation ~500 ft

The 50K uses a 24-mile Adventure Hiking Trail loop plus a 6.6-mile loop to complete the distance, and has an 11-hour cutoff. Aid stations for the 50K include the start/finish area and two additional stations on the loop. The half marathon is two laps of the 6.6-mile loop with an aid station at the halfway point. The 6.6-mile course is a single loop; the 5K follows a shorter trail route. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race; the 50K also includes a commemorative finisher medal.

Event services include professional timing, course marking, aid station support, packet pick-up (Friday, October 23, 5-7 p.m.; Saturday beginning 6:30 a.m., at the first shelterhouse on the left inside the park), digital photos after the race, and post-race refreshments.
