Run the Wild Half Marathon - Chiltern Hills

The Run the Wild Half Marathon is a guided trail event based in the Chiltern Hills, starting from The Home Office in Tring. The route covers around 13 miles (about 21 km) with approximately 300 m of ascent. The course runs over undulating chalk hills and through local woods. Runners are led by local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders who provide trail technique instruction; steep sections are walked. A refreshment point is provided just over halfway and a finisher’s medal is included.

The event is listed as a half-day activity with a maximum of 50 spaces. Participants are grouped by ability; the stated fitness requirement is the ability to run 10 km on the road in 90 minutes or less. Facilities at the start location include toilets, a cafe, bag drop and a checkpoint. There is free on-site parking and Tring train station is about a 10-minute walk from the start. The event is dog friendly if participants use cani-cross equipment. An individual entry fee is shown as £55. Mandatory kit is required for the event and is detailed by the organiser.
