SATURN - Remembrance Run 2026 - South

The Remembrance Run is a commemorative event held along the River Thames, dedicated to honoring individuals who served in global conflicts. Participants observe a two-minute silence at 11:00 am, which is officially deducted from their final running time. The event follows a timed format where participants have 7 hours and 2 minutes to complete their chosen distance.

The course consists of a loop, typically measured at 7 km (4.37 miles), though this may adjust to a 5.28 km (3.28 mile) loop depending on ground conditions. The terrain includes well-maintained paths, trail sections, and a small grass area, which can become muddy in wet weather. The route is fully signed and relatively flat.

Participants can choose from a wide range of distances, including:

  • 3 km
  • 5 km
  • Half Marathon (3 laps)
  • Marathon (6 laps)
  • 50 km
  • Ultra Marathon (7 or more laps)

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a commemorative medal and a goody bag, with vegan options available. Runners completing a half marathon or further are eligible for specific distance pins. An aid station located at the start and finish of each lap provides a variety of sweet and savory snacks and drinks. Facilities at the race headquarters include toilets, changing areas, and a non-staffed bag storage area. Number pick-up takes place on the morning of the event at registration.
