The One by the Canal

The One by the Canal is a trail half marathon held on November 8, 2026. The course starts at Cowley Rec and follows the Grand Union Canal through country trails and woodland paths, finishing in Cassiobury Park, Watford. All run routes are marked with signs and are marshalled.

Entry details state an individual fee of £35 and a minimum age of 17. The entry package includes a finisher medal, refreshments and chip timing. An interactive course map and route details are provided by the organiser.

A pre-race coach transfer is available from the finish to the start; places for this service must be pre-booked and there are no transport options provided after the event. Race pack collection is handled at the event village. Registration on the day may be possible.

Facilities at the event village include medical cover, a bag drop, a food caterer, event photography and free portable toilets. There are no dedicated changing rooms or showers. There will be four water stations on the route, approximately every 5 km, with water served in cups; additional water will be available in the village for refilling bottles.

Additional notes: spectators are permitted around the route and at start and finish areas. Personal dogs are not allowed except preapproved medical assistance dogs.
