The Ranger Ultras PB137km Trail Challenge is a multi-day trail running event held 16 to 18 April 2026, organised by Rangers Expeditions & Ultras. Course and format

The route follows sections of the Pennine Bridleway across West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire moors and finishes in Cumbria. The total distance is 137 km with a total ascent of 3275 metres. The course is split into two equal segments:

  • 68 km start to midway checkpoint, ascent 1681 m
  • 68 km midway to finish, ascent 1594 m

Navigation uses established trails and rights of way with well waymarked sections. Organisers supply GPX files and navigation notes in advance. Participants must complete the full distance within a 50 hour overall time limit.

Support and facilities

Organisers provide an on-course safety team and water locations. Indoor checkpoints offer hot meals, showers and sleeping space, and participants have access to drop bags at the midway checkpoint and the finish. Pre-race bunkroom accommodation on the registration evening and a hostel-style finish with beds, hot meals and refreshments are included. Finishers receive eco-medals and trophies.
