The Ranger Ultras PB137km Trail Challenge is a multi-day trail running event held from 16 to 18 April 2026. The event covers 137km on the Pennine Bridleway with a total ascent of 3275 metres and a maximum time limit of 50 hours. The minimum age is 20 years. Entry fees listed are £223 (affiliated) and £225 (unaffiliated). Entries open 22 March 2025 and close 6 April 2026. Entry numbers are limited (maximum 20 places).
Route, format and logistics
The route follows established trails and rights of way on the Pennine Bridleway, passing through West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire moors and finishing in Cumbria. The course is described as largely well waymarked; GPX files and navigation notes are provided to entrants. The event is organised around a midway indoor checkpoint at Settle and a finish at Kirkby Stephen. The route is split into two legs of 68km each, with recorded ascents of 1681m for the first leg and 1594m for the second. On-course safety support and water locations are provided.
Support and facilities
Race services include pre-race bunkroom accommodation at the registration venue, indoor midway checkpoint with hot meals, showers and sleeping space, access to drop bags at midway and finish, and a hostel-style finish with beds, showers and a hot meal for finishers. Finishers receive eco-medals and trophies are awarded to top finishers in category. Participants receive race briefing documentation and GPX files in advance.
