The Ranger Ultras PB137km Trail Challenge is a 137-kilometer trail running event along the Pennine Bridleway National Trail, with a 50-hour time limit. Course Details
The course follows established trails and rights of way, with a mixture of fast trails and technical ascents. The organization provides a GPX file and route notes in advance. The event is divided into two main legs of approximately 68 kilometers each: from the start in Hebden Bridge to a midway checkpoint in Settle, and from Settle to the finish in Kirkby Stephen. Participants have a maximum of 8 hours to rest at the indoor midway checkpoint.
Included Services
The entry fee covers several services. This includes bunkroom accommodation on the evening before the race, breakfast on race morning, and access to indoor checkpoints. At the midway checkpoint, hot meals, showers, and sleeping space are provided, along with access to a personal drop bag. At the finish hostel in Kirkby Stephen, finishers receive a bed, showers, a home-cooked celebratory meal, and refreshments. A safety team provides support at checkpoints and on-course water locations.
Schedule and Logistics
Race registration, kit check, and tracker collection take place on the evening before the start at Hebden Hey Scout Centre in Hebden Bridge. All participants must complete registration then. The race starts the following morning. The finish cut-off is 50 hours after the start, on Saturday morning.
Participant Information
