The Punk Panther Ripon Stinger takes place on 11 April 2026, with a venue at Studley Roger Village Hall, Studley Lane, Studley Roger, Ripon HG4 3AY. Entry is open from 31 July 2025 and closes on 29 March 2026. Minimum age is 18. Maximum entrants are 200. The route mainly follows the Ripon Rowel and visits local sites including the world heritage site Fountains Abbey, Studley Water gardens, the River Skell Valley of the Seven Bridges, St Margaret’s Church and Hackfall Woods.

Distances and climb:

  • 20 miles - 1,750 ft
  • 35 miles - 3,500 ft

ITRA points are 0 / 1 / 2 for the three distances. UTMB qualifications listed are Q20K / Q20K / Q50K. Checkpoints include CP1 North Stainley (6.5 miles), CP2 Masham (14.7 miles, ultra only) and CP3 Skelding (14.2 miles on 20-mile course; 26.5 miles on the ultra). Support crews are allowed at checkpoints except CP3.

Car parking is on Studley Lane with a £2 donation for the farmer’s charity; parking in the village can lead to disqualification. Toilets are available at registration in the village hall. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; 20-mile and half-marathon entrants may hire a tracker for a fee. The tracker has an emergency button that, if pressed in range, ends the runner’s race. Provisional GPX files and a route description are provided; the final route will be emailed to competitors. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may be carried out on course. Every finisher receives a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out.
