Punk Panther Ripon Stinger

The Punk Panther Ripon Stinger starts and finishes in Studley Roger, near the historic city of Ripon and its cathedral. The course primarily follows the Ripon Rowel route, traversing wooded valleys and historic landmarks. Participants pass through the world heritage site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Water Gardens, as well as the River Skell's Valley of the Seven Bridges. Other notable locations along the route include St Margaret’s Church and Hackfall woods.

The event offers three distinct distances:

  • Half Marathon (13 miles) with 750 feet of ascent
  • 20 Miles with 1750 feet of ascent
  • Ultra 35 Miles with 3500 feet of ascent

The ultra distance route includes a section through the Valley of the Seven Bridges. All participants in the ultramarathon are provided with a tracker for safety and live monitoring, while trail race runners have the option to hire one. The event is part of a race series and is limited to a maximum of 200 entrants.

Facilities include registration and toilets at Studley Roger Village Hall. Aid stations are situated at intervals providing water, various drinks, and snacks, including vegan and gluten-free options. A required kit list is in place for all distances, including items such as a waterproof jacket, survival bag, and personal first aid kit.
