The Punk Panther Ripon Stinger takes place on Saturday 11 April 2026 and is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons. The event starts and finishes at Studley Roger Village Hall, Studley Lane, Studley Roger, Ripon HG4 3AY. Entry is open to people aged 18 or older. The event is Race 4 of a 10-race series and has a maximum of 200 entrants. Entries close on 29 March 2026. The event offers a finisher medal and an event T-shirt unless a competitor opts out. Hot food, hot drinks and snacks, with vegan and gluten free options, are available at the finish.

Course and logistics

The route mainly follows the Ripon Rowel and visits wooded valleys and historic sites, including Fountains Abbey, Studley Water gardens, the River Skell Valley of the Seven Bridges, St Margaret’s Church and Hackfall Woods. Checkpoints and their approximate locations are provided: CP1 North Stainley (6.5 miles), CP2 Masham (14.7 miles, ultra only) and CP3 Skelding (14.2 miles on the 20-mile, 26.5 on the ultra). Trackers are supplied for ultramarathon entrants; half marathon and 20-mile runners can hire a tracker for £15. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and will be enforced by random checks on course. Parking is available on Studley Lane for a small donation to a farmer’s charity; parking in the village is prohibited and may lead to disqualification.
