The event has ITRA and UTMB qualification points for the longer distances and a minimum age of 18. Entrant numbers are limited to 200. Registration takes place at Studley Roger Village Hall and final competitor instructions will be emailed to entrants.

All ultramarathon entrants are supplied with a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile entrants can hire a tracker for £15. There are three checkpoints: North Stainley (CP1), Masham (CP2, ultra only) and Skelding (CP3). Checkpoints offer water, soft drinks and a variety of snacks with vegan and gluten free options available. Support crews are permitted except at CP3. Arriving at a checkpoint after its closing time means retirement from the event.

Car parking is provided in a nearby field for a small donation to the local farmer; participants who park in the village risk disqualification. Finishers receive a medal and an event T-shirt and hot food with dietary options is available at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
