Post Canyon Half Marathon : Hood River, OR (Aug 22, 2026)

The Post Canyon Half Marathon is a trail race held in Hood River, Oregon, and marks its twelfth year. The event is a cup-less race; all racers must carry a personal water bottle (minimum 24 oz) or use a hydration pack. Pets and earbuds are not allowed on the course.

The course is located on Hood River County Forestry Tree Farm and may change at short notice, so organizers do not publish a fixed course map. The route includes about 2,300 feet of total elevation gain, multiple mountain views toward Oregon and Washington, and several small waterfalls at Bridge Creek crossings. Two official aid stations are provided, with additional bonus stations for snacks and entertainment.

Racers receive a finisher prize bag with reported retail value greater than the entry fee, and some participants may receive additional bonus prizes valued between $10 and $170. Local volunteers and businesses are present on the course and at the finish; there are themed cheering spots including costumed supporters and a puppy petting popsicle station. Number pick-up takes place the morning of the race, and registered entrants receive an email the Thursday before the event. The start and finish are at the BINNS Hill Staging Area. No refunds, rollovers, or transfers are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
