Post Canyon Half Marathon

This is a trail half marathon held at the Post Canyon - Binns Hill Staging Area in Hood River, Oregon. The course runs on Hood River County Forestry Tree Farm and features about 2,300 ft of elevation gain, multiple mountain views on the Oregon and Washington sides, and small waterfalls along bridge creek crossings. Two official aid stations are provided, with additional bonus stations for snacks and entertainment.

The event is cup free; all racers must carry a water bottle with a 24 oz minimum capacity or use a hydration pack. Pets and earbuds are not allowed on the course. Number pick-up occurs the morning of the race. Organizers do not release course maps in advance because the course may change for tree farm reasons; registered racers receive an email the Thursday before the event.

Each racer receives a finisher prize bag that the organizer states exceeds the entry cost in retail value. Random bonus prizes valued between $10 and $170 are awarded during the event. Start and finish are located at the Binns Hill Staging Area. Camping is available about 15 minutes away at Kingsley Reservoir. Registration closes on Wednesday, August 19 at 11:59 PM PT. No refunds, rollovers, or transfers are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
