Post Canyon Half Marathon
The Post Canyon Half Marathon takes place on August 22, 2026 in Hood River, OR, with start and finish at the Binns Hill Staging Area. The event is a trail race held on land within the Hood River County Forestry Tree Farm and is described as the twelfth edition of the event.
The course features about 2,300 feet of elevation gain, multiple mountain views on the Oregon and Washington sides, and small waterfalls at bridge and creek crossings. There are two official aid stations and additional informal stations offering snacks and entertainment. The race is cupless and participants must carry their own hydration, with a minimum requirement of a 24 ounce water bottle or a hydration pack. Pets are not permitted and earbuds are prohibited.
Course maps are not released in advance because the route may change due to forestry operations. Number pickup occurs on the morning of the race. Registered participants receive an email on the Thursday before the event.
Each finisher receives a prize bag that the organizers describe as having retail value approximately double the entry cost. Additional random bonus prizes are offered, with retail values ranging from $10 to $170. Camping is available approximately 15 minutes away at Kingsley Res. Local businesses and brand sponsors provide community support and postrace prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
