The Post Canyon Half Marathon takes place in Hood River, Oregon, on August 22, 2026. This is the event's 12th edition and is organized as a trail race. The distance is 1/2 Marathon. Registration closes on Wed, Aug 19 at 11:59 PM PT. The start and finish are located at the BINNS Hill Staging Area.

Course and logistics

The course is on Hood River County Forestry Tree Farm and may change without advance release; organizers do not publish a course map for that reason. The route includes about 2,300 feet of elevation gain, multiple mountain views toward Oregon and Washington, and small waterfalls at bridge creek crossings. There are 2 official aid stations plus additional bonus stations for snacks and entertainment. The event is cup-less. All racers must carry a water bottle (minimum 24 oz) or use a hydration pack. Pets and earbuds are not allowed on course. Number pick-up occurs the morning of the race. All registered racers receive an email the Thursday before the event. Registration is nonrefundable and entries are not transferable or rollable. Camping is available about 15 minutes away at Kingsley Reservoir.
