Wy’east Trailfest

Wy’east Trailfest takes place August 15 and 16, 2026, at Mt. Hood Meadows in the Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon. The event presents multiple mountain trail races that reach alpine terrain up to 8,000 feet elevation.

Saturday features longer mountain courses that travel on ridgelines, alpine trails and forest singletrack. Sunday offers shorter trail options and a Kids Race. The 50K is designated as the 2026 USATF 50K Trail National Championship.

  • 50 Miler: 50.2 miles point to point; 10,650 ft gain, 8,800 ft loss
  • 50K: 31.1 miles point to point; 6,900 ft gain, 5,900 ft loss
  • 28K: 17.3 miles single loop; 4,300 ft gain and loss
  • 14K Hill Climb: 8.9 miles up and down; 2,700 ft gain
  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles single loop; 2,400 ft gain and loss
  • 8K: 5.0 miles single loop; 850 ft gain
  • Kids Race: 0.75 miles point to point; not timed, free

Registration fees include a fully marked course, parking, chip timing and results, full service aid stations, medical support, post race food and beverages, a custom finisher award and professional photography. Saturday race finish area features awards, food and beverage options and finish line activities.

The 50K has a $12,000 overall prize purse distributed to top finishers in the elite men and women divisions. A nonbinary athlete policy sets a performance threshold for prize eligibility in the 50K.
