Hood Hundred is a 100-mile mountain trail race staged at Mt. Hood Meadows in the Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon. The course is a crew-accessible lollipop-loop that covers a variety of mountain trail terrain and includes approximately 17,300 ft of ascent and 17,300 ft of descent. The event is presented by Speedland and is a Western States Endurance Run qualifier; runners must complete the course in under 34 hours to be eligible for the WSER lottery. The organizers plan to cap the 2026 field at 300 participants.
Logistics and requirements
Registration for the 2026 race opens December 1 and uses a tiered fee structure (example tiers listed for previous registration windows: $395 and $435). The registration fee covers a fully marked course, a custom race hoodie, parking, chip timing and results, aid stations, professional medical support, radio communications, post-race food and beverages, custom participant awards, professional photography, shuttles for drop bags and for DNFs, and porta-johns. All finishers receive a custom metal belt buckle. A mandatory service requirement must be completed between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026; options include eight hours of approved race or trail work or a minimum $100 donation with receipt and a submitted service form by July 1, 2026.
