Hood Hundred (August 1-2, 2026)
Hood Hundred is a 100-mile mountain trail race on Mt. Hood staged at Mt. Hood Meadows. The course uses a lollipop-loop format, is crew accessible at designated aid stations and features 17,300 feet of ascent and 17,300 feet of descent. The event is a Western States qualifier; runners must complete the course within the 34-hour cutoff to be eligible for the WSER lottery.
Registration occurs via UltraSignup. Early and later registration fee tiers are listed by the organizer; the fee does not include applicable taxes or processing fees. The race is capped at 250 participants; a waitlist will open once the field fills.
The race fee covers a range of services including a fully marked course, a custom race hoodie, parking, chip timing and results, staffed aid stations, professional medical support, radio communications, post-race food and beverages, custom participant awards, professional photography, shuttles for drop bags and for DNFs, and portable toilets for runners and crew.
A mandatory service requirement applies to all starters: eight hours of approved event or trail service or a minimum $100 donation to a stewardship-focused nonprofit. The service must be completed between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026, and the completion form must be received by July 1, 2026.
Overnight RV and car camping is permitted on the paved Mt. Hood Meadows parking area with an overnight use fee paid to Mt. Hood Meadows; lodge restrooms are available 24 hours. A portion of race proceeds benefits 44 Trails, a volunteer trail stewardship organization.
A free, no-fee three-day training weekend for registered runners is planned for June 19-21, 2026, with basic on-route water and first aid support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
