Thunder River

This trail running event takes place on a Saturday in November in Cascade Locks, Oregon. The event is organized by Daybreak Racing and is staged at Marine Park, which is approximately a 40-minute drive east of Portland. The park is along the banks of the Columbia River.

The event offers two race distances: a 25K and a 50K. Both courses use sections of the Pacific Crest Trail and the Gorge 400 trail. The 25K course is purely point-to-point. The 50K course is mostly point-to-point. Both races finish with a trail loop around Thunder Island before concluding at Marine Park.
