Punk Panther Dales Dazzler is a trail race that starts and finishes in Skipton, with a routed course across the Pennine Way and the Dales Way. The organiser is Punk Panther Ultra Marathons. The route passes Pinhaw Beacon, Thornton in Craven, Gargrave, Malham Tarn, Arncliffe, Starbotton, Kettlewell, Grassington, Burnsall, Barden Bridge and returns to Skipton via Embsay. Registration takes place at St Andrew's Church, Newmarket Street, Skipton. Parking is available at the Pay & Display car park on Cavendish Street.

Climb figures for the distances are listed as 1500, 2200, 4200 and 7600 feet respectively. The event carries ITRA points of 1, 1, 2 and 3 and UTMB qualification codes Q20K, Q20K, Q50K and Q100K in the same order. Minimum age to enter is 18 and the event maximum is 200 entrants. Trophies will be presented as specified by the organiser. Dogs are allowed to run subject to event rules. Safety support runners and buddy runners are permitted under the organiser’s conditions.

All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; trail race entrants may hire a tracker. A kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks will be carried out on course. Drop bags are permitted for the 50 mile race only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Two winter races from Great Owl Running on 24 January 2026 at Kirkstall Bridge. A roughly 16 km multi terrain route follows the canal and River Aire while a 10 km out and back runs along the canal.

The North of England Cross Country Championships come to Pontefract Race Course on 24 January 2026, with races for U13 to senior athletes on a challenging parkland course. Chip timing and club colours required, entries close 18 January.

Take on The Half & Half 10 km on 25 January 2026 at Sowerby Bridge for a split terrain challenge. Rugged muddy trails and obstacles give way to a tarmac finish, entries are limited to 100 and hoodies are available to pre order.

Hoofstones Fell Race in Todmorden covers 8 miles with 425 m of climb across the Pennines, testing navigation skills. Race HQ is the Staff of Life pub where post race refreshments and prizes await; entries accepted pre entry or on the day.
