On the Dam Trail: Quemahoning Relay Race

The event is a trail race held at Camp Harmony, Hooversville, PA, centered on the Quemahoning Reservoir. Distances offered include:

  • 50K Solo
  • 50K 4 Person Relay
  • 30K Solo (1 lap)
  • 10K

The 50K course consists of two full loops around the dam and follows shaded single-track through rolling hills and thick pine forests. The route includes a few small stream crossings, occasional rocky sections, and a total elevation change of about 3100 feet for two laps. Several aid stations and relay exchange points are located along the course. There are several road crossings and road access at the halfway point for those who need to leave the course.

The 4-person relay is divided into legs of roughly 9, 8, 7 and 10 miles. A 10K loop was added for 2026. Tent camping and rustic cabins are available near the start and finish, and restroom and shower facilities are provided at the event site. Camp Harmony will host a campfire-style gathering after the race.

Administrative notes: there is a 10 hour cutoff. Refunds are not given after January 1, 2026. Deferrals are allowed until March 31, 2026. Bib transfers are permitted through race day.
