Course and support

The course is a single-track route around the reservoir with shaded sections through thick pine forest, rolling hills, occasional rocky terrain, and a few small stream crossings. The 50K consists of two full loops around the dam. Total elevation change for two laps is about 3,100 feet. Several aid stations and relay exchange points are located along the course. There are road crossings and road access at the halfway point.

Relay, logistics and policies

The 4-person relay legs are approximately 9 miles, 8 miles, 7 miles, and 10 miles. A 10-hour race cutoff applies. Refunds are not given after January 1, 2026; deferrals are allowed until March 31, 2026; bib transfers are allowed until race day. Registration closes April 24, 2026; registering by April 3, 2026 guarantees a shirt.
