Mosaic Trail Race : event overview
The Mosaic Trail Race is scheduled for December 6, 2025, at Indian Mound Ranch in Liberty Hill, Texas. The event offers multiple distances:
- 50K
- 26.2 mi (marathon)
- 13.1 mi (half marathon)
- 15K
- 10K
- 5K
- Youth 1 mile (untimed, open to ages 12 and under)
All races are chip timed with ankle-mounted chips picked up at the venue on race morning. Results show both gun time and chip time; gun time is used for official rankings and awards. Pacers are not allowed. Overall awards are given to the Top 3 overall plus Top 1 Masters (50 & older) per distance. The youth run is untimed and awards a finisher medal.
Course and logistics
The course is laid out like an infinity loop (figure-8) using two roughly 5 km sections; the half and full marathon distances include an additional marked add-on so laps measure about 6.55 miles. Terrain is hill-country single track with open pastures, jeep road, technical sections, rocks, drops, climbs, creek beds, bluffs, ravines, cacti, and occasional straightaways. Basic aid-station support is provided and participants can place personal supplies near the Race Hub to access every ~5 km. Drop bag service is not provided beyond placement near the start/finish area. Camping at the ranch is allowed Friday night with an access fee for spectators.
