Fields of Gold Trail Run : Overview
The Fields of Gold Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Shaffer Bend Recreation Area, 706 County Road 343A, Marble Falls, TX 78654. The event offers multiple race options, including:
- 50K
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
- 12-Hour Endurance Challenge
- Virtual 5K / 10K option
Terrain includes rolling hills, meadow trails, and lakeside paths. The 12-Hour Endurance Challenge is a continuous timed event with the winner determined by total miles covered; aid stations and support are provided. Night running requires a headlamp, a backup light source is recommended, and participants running in the dark should use reflective clothing or a vest, carry personal hydration, and have a cell phone for emergencies.
Course, Logistics and Charity
Course highlights named in event materials include Lakeview, Osprey, Equine, Legacy Loop, Scenic Overlook Ridge, Osprey and Odyssey Trail, and the Homestead finish. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a race shirt, and access to a post-race harvest celebration.
