Event Overview
The Big Texas Ultra Championship is a trail running event with distances of 15K, 50K, and 100K. It takes place near Lake Georgetown in the Texas Hill Country, starting and finishing at Russell Park. The 100K and 50K events use a looped course on the Goodwater Trail, while the 15K follows a separate out-and-back route.
Course Details
The course surfaces include a mix of rocky trails, jeep roads, and some road sections. For the 100K event, the elevation gain is over 4600 feet. The 50K loop has about 2300 feet of gain, and the 15K route has about 700 feet.
Logistics and Rules
Aid stations are provided along the course. Participants in the 50K and 100K events are required to carry a phone. A hydration system is mandatory for all events, with minimum capacities specified. Headlamps are required for the final 50K of the 100K event. There is also a ruck option for the 15K distance with weight requirements.
