Big Texas Ultra
The Big Texas Ultra is a two-day endurance event held on the Lake Georgetown Rim Trail in Georgetown, Texas. Races use the Russell Park trailhead (2101 Co Rd 262, Georgetown, TX 78633) as the start and finish area.
Distances offered:
- 15K Friday out-and-back
- 15K Saturday
- 50K loop
- 100K (two 50K loops)
- 15K RUCK (ruck weight requirements apply)
The course surface is a mix of rocky trail, jeep road, and road sections. The 50K loop includes about 2,300 feet of elevation gain and the 15K out-and-back shows about 700 feet of gain. The event does not provide disposable cups; participants must use their own hydration system. The 100K field must carry a headlamp and must have one for the second 50K loop. Pacers are permitted only for the 100K on the second loop.
Awards and gear include a Big Texas Ultra finisher medal and long-sleeve shirt for all distances, a ruck patch, a 50K inscription on the medal, a silver belt buckle for 100K non-competitive finishers, and a golden belt buckle plus cash prizes for top finishers in the 100K Championship division.
