The Mellow Trail Race takes place on September 12, 2026, at Pace Bend Park near Spicewood, Texas (2001 N. Pace Bend Rd). The event offers multiple distances:

Registration includes race swag; the deadline to receive a shirt is August 18. During registration a $10 park day use fee is collected for one day of park access. Pacers are not allowed.
Course, timing and support
The main route is a 13.1-mile loop run clockwise. The 26.2-mile distance is two full 13.1-mile laps. The 5K uses a shortcut loop and the 10K is two 5K loops. Expect roughly 897 feet of elevation gain and equal loss per full lap. Trails run on a peninsula into Lake Travis with rocky cliff-edge and zero-entry shores, and include rocks, roots, and hard-packed surfaces with occasional lake views.
All races are chip timed with ankle chips. Results show both Gun Time and Chip Time; Gun Time is used for official rankings and awards. Starts are mass starts per distance, and an open start option is sometimes available.
Aid and logistics: Start/Finish (Mudd) has full support. “Grab N Go” snacks and water are planned at Mudd and Well Rd aid stations. Drop bag locations include Abby Rd, Croton, Pancho, and the Start/Finish. Awards are given to top finishers by distance and masters categories.
