The 24 Hour Lions Roar

The 24 Hour Lions Roar is an ultrarunning event at Gans Creek Recreation Area in Columbia, Missouri. It features individual and team race formats with time based events ranging from a 1 hour youth run up to 24 hour competition. Events are organized on looped courses to allow repeated laps.

The main loop is 2.5 miles and combines the D1 NCAA Cross Country Championship Course with adjacent soccer fields. The route is described as well groomed and easy to navigate, with modest elevation changes. A separate 0.25 mile loop is used for the 1 Hour Cub Run for younger participants.

Solo runners and relay teams share the course. Spectators and crew can watch and support from the loop and the start and finish area. The event lists awards for top finishers and lifetime mileage achievements, plus milestone items for specific accomplishments.
