The 24 Hour Lions Roar is a multi-hour running event held April 17-18, 2026 in Columbia, Missouri, at Gans Creek Recreation Area. The event offers several race formats on a loop course. Distances and formats include:

Course, charity and awards

The main race uses a 2.5-mile loop that includes the D1 NCAA Cross Country Championship Course at Gans Creek Recreation Area. A portion of event proceeds is donated to Pascale’s Pals, a local volunteer organization that supports children and families staying at the Children’s Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Awards are given for top finishers and milestones. Solo awards include the top two male and female finishers in the 6-, 12- and 24-hour events. All-Time Mileage awards go to the top three men and women with the most lifetime Lions Roar miles. The winning 24 Hour Tag Team receives custom championship belts. Milestone items include a custom belt buckle for completing 100 miles in 24 hours and commemorative t-shirts for reaching 100 miles, 100K, 50 miles, or 50K.
