Jacks Valley Trail Rally

Jacks Valley Trail Rally is a trail running event at Jacks Valley Elementary School. The courses use a mix of fire roads and single track, include some steep hills and technical footing in places, and offer views of Carson Valley and the surrounding mountains.

Distances available are mapped and include:

• 5K
• 10K
• 21K

Pre-registration is available through UltraSignup and registration details note that listed event cost does not include taxes and fees. Bib numbers can be picked up on race morning. There are no awards for the event, a choice intended to keep entry fees more affordable.

The event is the second of three races in a fall series. It is a merger of prior local trail events and seeks to combine features of those formats while offering multiple distance options in fall conditions. Organizers plan to review the format and make adjustments in future editions; participant feedback is welcome.

Course maps for the 5K, 10K and 21K are available in CalTopo and can be exported in GPX or KML file formats. The Forest Service requests that dogs not be taken on the courses because sheep graze the area; dogs are allowed around the start and finish area but not out on the courses.

Parking is on the west side of the school in the open dirt lot north of the solar panel fencing. Please avoid using the paved parking area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
