Trail Running Calendar Nevada 2026-2027

A community run and walk at W. Wayne Bunker Family Park in Las Vegas on July 11, 2026. The in person session is listed as lasting about two hours and tickets are shown as free.

A multi-distance trail endurance event on the Tahoe Rim Trail held July 18-19, 2026, offering 23K, 50K, 100K and 100 Mile options. The races are ITRA qualifiers with published time cutoffs and support local trail and community programs.

A USATF sanctioned trail 5k at Hidden Valley Regional Park in Reno on September 5, 2026. Proceeds benefit Azteca FC and all participants receive a shirt, finisher medal, and sticker.

A memorial community climb on September 12, 2026 to Mt. Grant Mountain near Hawthorne, NV, featuring a roughly 17 mile route with about 7000 feet of ascent and a planned 9/11 tribute that supports the Veterans Memorial Park.

A just over 10 mile out and back trail climb to the 10,776' Mt. Rose summit raising funds for Washoe County Search and Rescue. Single-track mountain trail, two water-only aid stations, volunteer stopwatch timing, USATF sanctioned.

Trail runs in Incline Village, NV offering 5K and 10K routes through tall pines, aspens, and creek crossings. The 10K is two laps with the second lap returning through the Village Green for spectator viewing.

A five hour rogaine in Reno on September 13, 2026, over desert trails with creative navigation and unique checkpoints. Restrooms and water are on site; participants should bring hydration, nutrition, gaiters and trekking poles.

Trail runs at Long Ranch Park in Carson City on September 19, 2026, with 6K, 12K and 22K options. Aid stations offer water and snacks but runners must bring a bottle; there are no division awards.

Trail event at James Lee Memorial Park near Carson City offering 10k, 5k and a free family 2k. 5k and 10k registration includes a one year Carson Valley Trails Association membership; 2k welcomes strollers and leashed dogs.

A student-run trail event on September 27, 2026 at George Whittell High School in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. It features a 5K trail and an 800 meter kids' fun run, with natural trail features, student-designed shirts sold separately, and no pets..

A Spartan Race weekend at Nevada State University in Henderson, featuring Sprint 5 km 20 obstacles, Super 10 km 25 obstacles, kids races, workshops, and Hurricane Heat endurance formats.

A two day ultra at Sparks Marina near Reno with timed and fixed distance events on a paved, lighted loop. Options include 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 hour races, 50 and 100 miles, plus a 6 hour relay.

Races at Red Rock Canyon include a 5K run and walk, a runners only 17K with a three hour time limit, and a virtual 5K with mailed medals. Courses start at the Visitor Center and combine trails with sections of the scenic drive.

A 9.4 mile out and back hill climb in Reno on October 17, 2026, gaining 3,018 ft to the summit of Peavine Peak and returning to Melton Elementary. The route includes singletrack, a rocky ATV trail and dirt road descents.

A trail running event at Jacks Valley Elementary School featuring fire roads and single track with steep sections and scenic views, multiple distance options, mapped courses in CalTopo, and no finisher or division awards.

Battle Born Trail Run at Cathedral Gorge State Park on October 24, 2026 offers four trail distances including a new 18.64 mile course. Routes are marked on dirt trails with aid stations, custom finisher medals, and a virtual option.

The Sand Harbor 5K and 10K will take place in Sand Harbor on Saturday 31 October 2026. You can run between 5 and 10 kilometers.
