On June 20, 2026 at Sparks Marina runners complete a *4.167 mile* yard each hour until one person remains; mini Backyard races of 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours use the same rules and award finishers.

A set of single track trail races on Ward Mountain from about 2 miles up to a full marathon. Courses feature switchbacks, multiple aid stations on longer routes, marked trails, timing chips, and finisher medals and hats.

July 2026

A community run and walk at W. Wayne Bunker Family Park in Las Vegas on July 11, 2026. The in person session is listed as lasting about two hours and tickets are shown as free.

A multi-distance trail endurance event on the Tahoe Rim Trail held July 18-19, 2026, offering 23K, 50K, 100K and 100 Mile options. The races are ITRA qualifiers with published time cutoffs and support local trail and community programs.

August 2026

Trail races based at Spooner Lake in Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. The Marlette 50K covers about 30 miles of Sierra single track with Marlette Lake at mid course while the 10 Miler is a round trip to Marlette Lake.

An Alice in Wonderland themed night event at Echo Canyon State Park featuring a 1.8 mile reservoir loop and multiple unusual race formats from timed loops to dice-based team runs.

September 2026

A volunteer-run 50 kilometer ultramarathon at Pink Lightning Camp during Burning Man on September 1, 2026. Entry is free with a Burning Man ticket and registration, and bib pickup takes place in the days before the race.

A USATF sanctioned trail 5k at Hidden Valley Regional Park in Reno on September 5, 2026. Proceeds benefit Azteca FC and all participants receive a shirt, finisher medal, and sticker.

A memorial community climb on September 12, 2026 to Mt. Grant Mountain near Hawthorne, NV, featuring a roughly 17 mile route with about 7000 feet of ascent and a planned 9/11 tribute that supports the Veterans Memorial Park.

A just over 10 mile out and back trail climb to the 10,776' Mt. Rose summit raising funds for Washoe County Search and Rescue. Single-track mountain trail, two water-only aid stations, volunteer stopwatch timing, USATF sanctioned.

Trail 5K and 10K in Incline Village starting and finishing at the Village Green, looping through tall pines, aspen groves and creek crossings; 5K is one lap, 10K is two. The race is not scheduled for 2025.

A five hour rogaine in Reno on September 13, 2026, over desert trails with creative navigation and unique checkpoints. Restrooms and water are on site; participants should bring hydration, nutrition, gaiters and trekking poles.

Trail runs at Long Ranch Park in Carson City on September 19, 2026, with 6K, 12K and 22K options. Aid stations offer water and snacks but runners must bring a bottle; there are no division awards.

A trail event at James Lee Memorial Park in Carson City offering a 10k, a 5k and a free family 2k; 5k and 10k registration includes a one-year CVTA membership and tech shirts for finishers.

A student-run trail event on September 27, 2026 at George Whittell High School in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. It features a 5K trail and an 800 meter kids' fun run, with natural trail features, student-designed shirts sold separately, and no pets..

A three day all inclusive trail running festival at Zephyr Point, Nevada, on Tahoe area trails including the Tahoe Rim Trail and Pacific Crest Trail. Each day has long and short route options and packages include lodging, meals and recovery..

October 2026

Obstacle course races at Nevada State University in Henderson on Oct 03 - 04, 2026 featuring Sprint and Super courses, kids races, obstacle workshops and Hurricane Heat endurance options.

A multi day ultrarun at Sparks Marina in Nevada on October 9 to 11, 2026 offering timed events and 50 and 100 mile distances on a paved, lighted loop with round the clock aid station support.

Races at Red Rock Canyon include a 5K run and walk, a runners only 17K with a three hour time limit, and a virtual 5K with mailed medals. Courses start at the Visitor Center and combine trails with sections of the scenic drive.

A 3rd annual 9.4 mile hill climb in Reno with 3,018 feet of elevation gain, starting and finishing at Melton Elementary School and reaching the summit of Peavine Peak via Chalk Canyon and Tower Ridge.
