Marlette 50K and 10 Miler

The events are held at Spooner Lake in Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park and take place on high Sierra trails. The longer event covers about 30 miles of primarily Sierra single-track that pass through varied high country terrain and offer wide panorama views of Lake Tahoe, the Carson Valley, and the surrounding mountain range.

Marlette Lake sits roughly in the center of the 50K course. Runners passing the lake may choose to enter the water if they are warm during the effort. The shorter course starts at Spooner Lake and follows a round trip route to Marlette Lake and back along the same trail corridor.

Course features include winding single-track through Sierra landscapes and extended viewpoints that provide 360-degree vistas of nearby valleys and peaks. The description focuses on trail character and scenery rather than timing or services. Distances listed below summarize the main options offered on the same trail system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

  • Marlette 50K: about 30 miles on Sierra single-track trails
