Friends of the Park - 5K & 1 mile Sprint
This community running event takes place on 09/05/2026 at the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area, 6600 Donner Rd., Tahoe Vista, CA. It offers two distances and is open to a range of ages and abilities. The course covers a mix of surfaces including grass ballfields, paved bike paths, and park trails.
Distances
- 5K : route across grass ballfields, paved bike paths, and park trails
- 1 mile fun run : shorter loop on park paths and nearby paved areas
Participants receive a North Tahoe hat. Picnic areas at the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area beach and swimming area will be reserved for participants after the event. Refreshments and a recovery zone will be available. Parking fees are included for participants. Registration opens 04/09/2026 and closes 09/05/2026; the registration fee is $40.00.
