Iowa Trail Run Series: Lake MacBride

The Iowa Trail Run Series takes place in the Eastern Iowa Corridor at Lake MacBride State Park in Solon, Iowa. This trail event provides participants with the opportunity to run through the natural landscapes of one of the state's park settings. The race features three distinct distances:

  • 5K
  • 10K
  • 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)

The course is clearly marked and includes support to assist participants along the route. Basic timing services are provided for all distances. Participants receive a custom race bib and a rotating race item, which may include items such as socks, a stocking cap, a coffee mug, an aluminum water bottle, or a BUFF.

After the race, various food options are available for refueling. The event also includes games and giveaways from sponsors. For those who wish to have a commemorative garment, tri-blend shirts featuring animal icons are available as an optional addition during the registration process.
