The 12th annual Pleasant Creek Trail Run is presented by the Eastern Iowa Trail Alliance (a 501(c)(3) non-profit) and offers trail races at Pleasant Creek Park in Palo, Iowa. The event includes multiple loop distances on the park's outer equestrian trail.

The course uses the park's 15K outer equestrian loop; all distances run clockwise and return to the start to begin each subsequent loop. Surface is primarily dirt and grass with possible small water crossings and rolling hills. The start area is near the playground park north of the beach parking lot. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course.

Awards are given to the top overall female and male in each distance and to the top three female and male finishers in age groups 29 & under, 30-45, and 46+. Overall cash prizes are listed for each distance and additional bonuses are available for course records. Top overall finishers are not eligible for age-group awards. Timing services are provided by OnlineRaceResults.

Online registration closes September 10 at 5:00 PM; packet pickup on the preceding Friday evening is the final opportunity to register in person. There is no day-of registration. Parking follows volunteer directions to the Pleasant Creek Beach grass field; do not park on grass elsewhere. Post-race cookout and beverages begin around 10am.
