The 12th annual Pleasant Creek Trail Run takes place at Pleasant Creek Park in Palo, Iowa on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event is organized by the Eastern Iowa Trail Alliance (a 501(C)(3) non-profit) and offers multiple loop distances around the park.

The course uses the park's outer equestrian trail. One loop measures 15K; all distances run clockwise and return to the start each time they exit the trail. Surfaces are primarily dirt and grass with small water crossings and rolling hills. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course. The start area is near the playground north of the beach parking lot.
Awards and prizes are offered for top overall finishers and age groups. Overall male and female winners receive cash prizes and free registration for the following year; additional cash payouts are specified for each distance. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 29 & under, 30-45, and 46+ groups, with overall winners excluded from age-group awards. Bonus payouts apply for breaking event records. Timing services are provided by OnlineRaceResults.
Logistics note parking will be directed by volunteers to the Pleasant Creek beach grass field and parking on other grass areas is prohibited. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at SOKO Outfitters and race morning at the start area.
