Hungryland Trail Races
West Palm Beach, United States • 21 Mar 2026
Event Overview
The Hungryland Trail Races take place at the Hungryland Slough Natural Area in West Palm Beach, Florida. The event features two separate timed races on a single 14.3-mile loop course through the 3,000-acre natural area.
The Course
The loop is a "true loop" with no repeated sections, using a network of management roads. It passes through various ecosystems including pine flatwoods, prairies, swamps, hammocks, and wetlands. The terrain is flat with no significant elevation change. The course surface includes dirt roads, hard-packed grass, and softer paths near wetlands. Conditions can vary from dry and dusty to wet and muddy depending on recent weather, and the course or aid station details are subject to change for safety.
Race Options
Participants can choose between two events:
- 33-Hour Jogger Slogger: Runners have 33 hours to complete as many loops as they choose, but only fully completed loops within the time limit count. Running seven loops qualifies for a 100-mile award.
- 6-Hour Runner Gunner: Runners have 6 hours to complete one full loop.
Ranking is based on the number of loops completed.
Aid and Support
The race is fully supported. The loop features a full aid station at the start/finish and another near the midpoint. There are also unmanned fluid and fuel stations along the course. Pacers are allowed beginning at dusk on Saturday. Participants running long distances may set up a small base camp near the start/finish.
Location and Capacity
The event is held in cooperation with Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management. Due to the environmentally sensitive location, the race has a capacity of 75 entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
