Hungryland Trail Races

Hungryland takes place on a 14.3 mile loop through Hungryland Slough Natural Area in Palm Beach County. The course is a clockwise pseudo iron cross loop that uses service roads and footpaths to pass through pine flatwoods, prairies, swamps, hammocks, and marshland. The surface is primarily double-track with dirt roads, hard packed grassy areas, and softer runnable paths near wetlands. The route is flat with no significant elevation gain.

Course and support details may change close to race day because sections can range from dry to wet depending on weather. Aid is placed so runners will not be more than 3 to 4 miles from some form of support. Planned aid locations include a full start/finish station, a full station near mile 6.75, and additional water or fuel stations around miles 3, 7.8, 8, and 10.7. Runners are expected to carry personal hydration and nutrition between stations.

Field size is limited to 75 entrants. Pacers are allowed beginning at dusk for long distance runners. The event offers specific refund and deferral rules with a full refund option available only through November 1, 2025, minus processing fees; transfers and deferrals are described in the event terms.
