Event Distances

The event offers several timed ultra-distance races on a track. The options are:

  • 6 hours (The Frenchie)
  • 12 hours (The Bulldog)
  • 24 hours (The Little Hoot)
  • 48 hours (The Big Hoot)

Location & Course

The race takes place at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida. The course is a USATF-certified track. This is a Class 2 internationally certified track, one of only four in the United States. Runners change direction on the track every 4 hours.

Features & Rules

The event is sanctioned by USATF, making performances eligible for records. Pacers are not permitted for any distance, with an exception for participants under age 14 if pre-approved by the race director. The event is Trail Sisters Approved, with standards like equal podium awards, women's specific apparel, and menstrual products at aid stations.

Team Participation

For the 24-hour and 48-hour races only, participants can run as a team. Team divisions are all men, all women, and mixed. A team's score is the combined distance of its top three runners.

Amenities

Runners and their crew can camp in the infield to set up personal aid stations. A main aid station provides food, drink, and hot food for 24 and 48-hour participants. Stadium bathrooms and locker rooms are accessible. All runners receive a custom gear hat.

Awards

Buckles are awarded for completing 100 or 200 miles. All finishers in each event receive a finisher medal. Prizes are awarded to the top male and top female in each event.

Donations

The event accepts non-perishable food donations for a local soup kitchen, as well as blankets, towels, and unopened dog food for an animal care organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
