DTR 10 Mile Night Run

The DTR 10 Mile Night Run takes place at Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, Florida. This event utilizes the park trails during the evening hours, requiring all participants to use headlamps or flashlights to navigate the course in the darkness. The route explores the Pine Wood Forest section of the park and consists of an out and back design with a lollipop loop.

The terrain features a mix of double-track and single-track trails composed mostly of flat dirt, though runners will encounter sections of sand and roots. The course also includes two bridge crossings. Ground conditions are subject to weather, with the potential for the trail to be either completely dry or have wet sections depending on recent rainfall.

Participants can choose to take part in a costume contest held during the Halloween weekend festivities. The event organizers provide a marked course using reflective arrows and signs. Support on the trail includes water aid stations, volunteers, and medical staff.

The following distance is available:

  • 10 Miles (trail race)

Registration includes a park entry pass, a custom t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Following the run, refreshments and music are provided in the celebration area. Awards are presented to the top five male and female finishers. All participants must collect their race materials on the day of the event at the park.
