Picnic Island Ultra - 9th Annual
Picnic Island Ultra is a USATF-sanctioned running event held at Riverbend and Loxahatchee River Battlefield Parks in Jupiter, FL. The event offers time-limited ultrarunning options and a looped half marathon on a marked course that circles Riverbend Park.
The event program includes:
- 10 Hour individual fixed-time event
- 6 Hour individual fixed-time event
- Half marathon (13.28 miles), four laps of 3.32 miles
The primary course is a long loop of 3.32 miles. During the final hour of the fixed-time events, a shorter loop of 0.85 miles is available so runners can continue to add mileage; only fully completed loops count toward official distance. The start/finish line and an aid station are on the loop so runners pass the aid station and their gear each lap. Official timing and results will be provided.
Registration is handled online and the event maintains a no-refund policy; deferrals are permitted only to the next year's race. Packet pickup takes place at the park on race morning and includes the bib with timing tag. The park named as the charity benefactor is Riverbend Park / Battlefield Park.
All participants, volunteers and spectators must follow park rules and regulations. Event details are subject to change for approval or compliance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
