Just Survive 125

The Just Survive 125 is a 125 mile out-and-back ultramarathon on the Ocean to Lake Hiking Trail in Hobe Sound, FL. The course runs from Hobe Sound Beach to Lake Okeechobee and back through pine flatwoods, cypress swamps, wet prairies, and palmetto scrub.

The event is set with a 48 hour time limit to complete the course. There are no aid stations and no crew support. The race uses a bucket supported system: participants prepare four supply buckets with nutrition, hydration, gear, and essentials; volunteers transport and monitor buckets at designated locations approximately 15.5 miles apart.

Large portions of the route have limited or no cell service. Trail conditions include water crossings, mud, sand, heat, humidity, and darkness, and conditions can change during January in South Florida. Success depends on preparation, pacing, nutrition, hydration, and problem solving.

A Participant Guide contains race weekend details and logistics. The event is organized with support from local trail running volunteers and the Florida Trail Association Loxahatchee Chapter. Registration closes on Sun, Dec 20 at 11:59 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
