Riverbend Ultras 12 HR/50K, Riverbend Park, Jupiter FL
The event is based at the River Pavilion on Picnic Island in Riverbend Park, located at 9060 Indiantown Road, Jupiter, FL. Runners follow gravel trails along the Loxahatchee River, including a section of the Lake to Ocean Trail, through oaks and cabbage palms. Wildlife commonly seen includes deer, turkey, turtles, raccoons, and many bird species.
Course format and options:
- 12 hour event with repeated Riverbend loops.
- 50K using Picnic Island and Riverbend loops.
- Fun Run on the Picnic Island loop.
The Riverbend loop is described as approximately 3.2 to 3.25 miles per circuit. For the 50K the course is described as two 0.85 mile Picnic Island loops plus nine 3.25 mile Riverbend loops for a total of 31.2 miles.
Timing and awards are provided for the 50K and 12 hour events. Trophies are awarded for first place male and female in each distance. All 50K and 12 hour participants receive shirts and medals. Fun Run participants pay a nominal fee, receive a medal, may add a shirt, will not have times officially tracked, and do not qualify for awards.
The event is self supported and potluck style; participants are expected to provide their own aid though communal snacks are encouraged. It is organized as a non profit and proceeds beyond overhead benefit the local Florida Trail Association chapter. No refunds are offered; registrations may be deferred to the following year or forfeited fees will be donated to the Florida Trail Association.
