Jupiter, United States • 12 Sep 2026

Event Details

The Riverbend Ultras event takes place at the River Pavilion on Picnic Island in Riverbend Park in Jupiter, Florida. The course runs along the Loxahatchee River over gravel trails, including a section of the Lake to Ocean Trail, through oaks and cabbage palms.

The event features three distances.

  • 12-Hour: Participants run as many 3.25-mile Riverbend Loops as possible within the time limit, transferring to a Picnic Island Loop after 6 PM.
  • 50K: The distance is 31.2 total miles, consisting of two 0.85-mile Picnic Island Loops and nine 3.25-mile Riverbend Loops.
  • Fun Run: This is a 5k-ish (3.2 mi) loop.

Trophies are awarded for first-place male and female in each distance. All 50K and 12-Hour runners receive shirts and medals. Fun Run participants receive a medal (with a t-shirt as an optional add-on) but are not timed and do not qualify for awards.

The event is described as low-key and focused on community. It is a self-supported, fat-ass style run where runners take care of themselves, though a potluck of snacks is encouraged. The event is non-profit, with all proceeds beyond basic overhead benefiting the local Florida Trail Association chapter. Registration fees are non-refundable but can be deferred to the following year; otherwise, forfeited fees become a donation to the association.
