Jupiter Ridge Sand Spur : Lunacy Edition (Dec 27, 2025)
Jupiter Ridge Sand Spur is a multi-distance trail event held at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area in Jupiter, Florida. The course runs on ancient coastal sand dunes within a rare Florida Scrub habitat, and the event is limited to 80 entrants to help protect the natural area.
Race options include:
- Lunacy 30k Night Run
- Lunacy 50k (day half marathon plus night 30k)
- Lunacy 50 Miler (day 50k plus night 30k)
- OG 50k
- OG Half Marathon
The Lunacy 30k Night Run uses four 4.5 mile loops for roughly 18 miles and about 1,000 feet of climbing on sand dunes. The 50k and 50 Miler formats combine daytime and nighttime legs, with the 50k showing about 2,000 feet of gain and the 50 Miler around 3,000 feet of gain/loss on the dune terrain. The half marathon is described with about 800 feet of gain.
Event services include two aid stations (start/finish and a midloop station about 2.25 miles into the loop), a drop bag zone with one small bag allowed, chip timing by A1/Trailhead Ultras, themed awards and finisher medals, and race proceeds directed to the Palm Beach County Natural Areas program.
