The Trident Trail Races : July 25-26, 2026
The 8th edition of The Trident Trail Races takes place at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area in Jupiter, Florida (1800 South US Highway 1). The event is a set of looped trail races run on ancient coastal sugar sand dunes. The site is 271 acres of Florida Coastal Scrub and includes the highest natural point in Palm Beach County at about 44 feet above sea level. The course is soft white sand with gentle rollers and steep sandy climbs. Late July conditions include high heat and humidity; the event materials note peak daytime temperatures in the mid 90s, humidity around 70-80 percent, and sand surface temperatures well above typical air temperatures. Medical staff are present on course.
Races and distances
- 102 miles - Ciento Dos, 36-hour limit, 31 loops, qualifiers required.
- 80 miles - Immolation, 24-hour elimination format, hourly loop, phoenix coin rule, qualifiers.
- 13.2 miles - The Nooner half marathon, four loops, 4-hour cutoff, 1,200+ ft gain.
- 33 miles - A Series of Unfortunate 5Ks, up to ten loops, 10-hour limit.
- 13.2 miles - Twilight Trident night half, four loops, 4-hour cutoff.
Course support and entry rules
Aid stations will provide ice, water, chilled fruit, and fuel. Timing will be by a professional timer and finishers receive medals and other event swag. Ciento Dos permits crewing and crew can set canopies near the start area; uncrewed runners may use aid stations. Immolation and Ciento Dos require verifiable qualifying races or efforts within the last 18 months; race management may deny entry if qualifiers are not met.
