Course, logistics and awards
Races take place on trails and waterways inside Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Course surfaces may include single-track mountain bike trails, dirt or gravel roads, some paved roads, and sections of flat-water paddling. Adventure races combine trekking or trail running, paddling, and mountain biking and use pre-plotted CalTopo maps for navigation. The event will have one main aid station and a hydration station on course; it is advertised as a cupless race and participants will be provided a flexible folding race day cup. All registered participants receive a dry bag, and finishers receive a coin from a treasure chest as the finisher token. Packet pickup details will be updated closer to the race date. Awards are listed for top finishers in multiple categories and there are prizes for the youngest and oldest finisher. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
