Great Langdale 21 is a trail running event on 6 June 2026, organised by Lake District Sky Trails and based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn (LA22 9JX). The event is part of the Rab Scafell Skyrunning Weekend. The course distance is 21 km with 850 m of ascent and a maximum time allowed of 5 hours. Minimum age to enter is 16 or older. Entry fee is £50. Entries open 4 October 2025 and close 27 May 2026. The event offers an optional purchase of XCover for possible refunds in unforeseen circumstances.

Route and race services

The route uses fully marked trails and footpaths through Great and Little Langdale. The course starts at the Stickle Barn, includes steep and technical uphill sections, passes Raven Crag and the Old Dungeon Ghyll pub, and continues up Mickleden. Later sections cross Great Langdale Beck and Oxendale Beck, run past Red Tarn and around Pike O'Blisco, pass the 3 Shires Stone, descend Wrynose Pass (short road section), and return via Fell Foot Bridge, Little Langdale Tarn, quarry and Baysbrown Farm/Campsite before rejoining the Cumbria Way and finishing back at the Stickle Barn.
