The Forever 5 & 10 Milers take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Blue Ridge, VA 24064. The event includes on-site and virtual options: a 5-mile race, a 10-mile race, virtual runs for both distances, and a race bundle option. Registration opens December 8, 2025.
Course and format
Both the 5-mile and 10-mile courses are out-and-back and use a section of the Hellgate 100k course (miles 55-60) called the Forever Section. The route follows part of the Glenwood Horse Trail between Day Creek Day Use Area and Bobblets Gap Road. The trail is described as a rocky backcountry section.
Timing and checkpoints
The 5-mile event will have a volunteer or timing point at the halfway mark. The 10-mile event will have a timing point at Bobblets Gap Road to verify that participants reached the turnaround.
