The Crooked Road 24 Hour Ultra is a 24-hour ultramarathon held March 7-8, 2026 in Rocky Mount, Virginia (Waid Park, Franklin County, ZIP 24151). The event was founded in 2011 by the Crooked Road Running Club, paused after 2022, and was revived in 2024 by Blue Ridge Racing for restart in 2025. The race offers solo and relay formats, plus shorter solo segments and a full 24-hour option. Course, amenities and awards
The course is a mostly flat, crushed-cinder loop of 1.178 miles that runs through Waid Park, along the Pigg River, and around park athletic fields. The loop is USATF certified (VA17001BDS). Overnight camping is available the night before the race. An aid station will be stocked with food and drinks, and participants may set up personal aid stations. A medal is awarded to participants who cover more than 26.2 miles; those who reach 100 miles receive a belt buckle. Additional awards include top male and female overall and recognition for the most laps in specified race segments. The event follows Trail Sisters standards for equal podiums and awards, women’s apparel options, menstrual products in bathrooms, and pregnancy and postpartum policies.
