Into the Darkness Night Trail Run
The Into the Darkness Night Trail Run takes place in Explore Park in Roanoke, Virginia on October 25, 2025. The event is one edition of the Into the Darkness series and follows changes made after a recent Mountain Bike Nationals XCO event.
The course covers about 3.6 miles through Explore Park. After a short paved section of roughly 0.25 miles, the route continues on twisty, rolling single track for the remainder of the distance. The layout for this year runs the XCO course in reverse compared with prior versions.
Trails are marked with reflective arrows and glow sticks, and there are occasional light surprises along the route that are described as family friendly rather than frightening.
