The Frozen Toe is a trail 10k event in Roanoke, Virginia, set for Saturday, January 10, 2026, with a virtual option. Course, logistics and rules

The course uses the Chestnut Ridge Loop and begins and ends at New Hope Christian Church. The Chestnut Ridge Loop Trail is described as a 5.6 mile single-track loop around Roanoke Mountain Campground. The published route runs from the church to Welcome Valley Road, onto the Chestnut Loop, and back to the church. There is one water/Gatorade stop at mile 3.4. Packet pickup is scheduled at locations in Salem and Roanoke the two days before the event and at the church on race day.

Event rules include no dogs on course, bib numbers worn on the front, following marked trail flags, no course short cutting, and no amplified music in start/finish areas or on course. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers, the first male and female 40+, and the top three in 13 male and female age groups.
