Event overview

The Five Peaks Running Festival is a multi-distance trail running event in the Adelaide Hills on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. It is scheduled for Sunday 19 April 2026 and includes an ultra marathon that is the first event in the SA Five 50 Ultra Series. The courses pass through Black Hill Conservation Park, Morialta Conservation Park, Mount Lofty Summit, Cleland, Norton Summit and finish at the Main Oval in Belair National Park. The route follows much of the Yurrebilla Trail and includes single-track, fire trail, road and sealed surfaces, with varied native bushland and viewpoints.

The 58 km and 26 km events are UTMB Index races and ITRA National Challenge events, with the 58 km distance listed as worth 3 ITRA points and the 26 km worth 1 point. Drink stations are positioned along the course and supply items such as watermelon, bananas, lollies, chips, Coke, water, Tailwind Mandarin endurance drink, brownies and other snacks. The event provides electronic timing, on-course first aid, volunteer crews, drop-bag service for longer distances, free parking at Belair National Park, and finisher medals for the Ultra distance.
