Five Peaks Running Festival 2026
The Five Peaks Running Festival is a multi distance trail running event across the Adelaide Hills on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. The festival includes an ultra marathon and several shorter festival distances and is the first event in the SA Five 50 Ultra Series.
Courses travel through native bushland, open fire trails and technical single track. The full route starts near Athelstone and Black Hill Conservation Park, passes through Morialta Conservation Park and historic ruins, follows much of the Yurrebilla Trail with diversions including Mount Lofty Summit, and finishes at the Main Oval in Belair National Park via the disco tunnel.
Distances offered:
- 58 km ultra marathon
- 26 km long course
- 17 km medium course
- 10 km short course
Event features include marked courses, drink stations with food and Tailwind endurance fuel, electronic timing, drop bag options for longer distances, volunteer crews, finish area food and photography. The 58 km and 26 km events are UTMB Index races and award ITRA points; the 58 km yields 3 ITRA points and the 26 km yields 1 ITRA point.
