TRSA - Five Peaks

Athelstone, Australia • 19 Apr 2026

Event Overview

The Five Peaks Trail Running Festival is a multi-distance event on trails across the Adelaide Hills on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. The routes travel through native bushland, open fire trails, and technical single track.

Distances and Courses

The event offers four route distances:

  • 58 km
  • 26 km
  • 17 km
  • 10 km

The full 58 km course follows the Yurrebilla Trail with some diversions, including the Mount Lofty Summit. It starts in Athelstone near Black Hill Conservation Park, passes through Morialta Conservation Park and historic ruins, and finishes in Belair National Park after passing through a tunnel described as a "disco tunnel". The event states there are "more than five hills" on the course.

Runners wishing to qualify for overall prizes in the 58 km event must start in the designated 8:00 am wave. All courses start and finish within a 40-minute drive from central Adelaide, with a bus service available to shuttle runners to the start lines.

Event Features

The course features a mixture of single-track, fire trail, road, and sealed surfaces. Support includes drink stations and nutrition. Finisher medals are provided for 58 km runners, with medals or trophies for winners or placegetters in all distances. The event is a UTMB® Index and ITRA points event.
