Five Peaks Running Festival and AUTRA Short Trail National Championship

The Five Peaks event is a multi distance trail running festival across the Adelaide Hills on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. Courses follow sections of the Yurrebilla Trail and other tracks, including the Mount Lofty Summit, and feature native bushland, open fire trails and technical single track with extensive views.

The full route begins near Athelstone and passes through Black Hill and Morialta Conservation Parks, historic ruins and townships before finishing at the Main Oval in Belair National Park. The festival includes a variety of course features such as a disco tunnel in Belair, drink stations with water, fruit and endurance fuel, and staffed aid stations at key points. Drop bags are available for the ultra distance and some bag return arrangements are provided.

Distances:

  • 59.1 km ultra
  • 26 km long
  • 17 km medium
  • 10 km short

The 59.1 km and 26 km events are UTMB Index races and part of ITRA National Challenge, with the 59.1 km attracting 3 ITRA points and the 26 km attracting 1 point.
