This trail running event takes place in Cleland National Park on Mount Lofty Summit Road near Crafers, SA. The park contains native woodlands, forests, perched swamps, creeks and walking trails that offer views across the Adelaide Hills and surrounding areas. Wildlife commonly seen on course includes kangaroos and koalas. The location is under 30 minutes' drive from the city.

Routes use the park trail network and are described on published course pages. Distances offered:

  • Long: 21 km
  • Medium: 16 km
  • Short: 10 km
  • Kids cross-country: 1 km

Race services and conditions include drink stations with water and lollies only, no cups supplied so runners must bring their own container, on-course nutrition, and medals for placegetters. Free post-run items include fruit and the event brownies. Sponsor tents and massage services are available, and a member-only random draw is held during the event.

Course management notes state mandatory cutoffs and sweepers; runners must stay ahead of sweepers at all times. Specified minimum paces apply for each distance and walkers are permitted only in the short event. The long course is listed as a UTMB® Index race and an ITRA National Challenge event. Parking may be restricted depending on entry numbers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
