Federation Ultra Trail

The Federation Ultra Trail is a trail running event on 9 August 2026 at Monarto Safari Park Visitor Centre in Monarto, South Australia. The course traverses the southern end of the Lavender/Federation Trail from Monarto Safari Park to the riverside trail head at Sturt Reserve in Murray Bridge.

The route includes sections on Monarto Safari Park walking trails, allowing glimpses of roaming wild African animals such as meerkats, giraffe, bison, chimpanzees and rhinos. The event was first held in 2018.

Proceeds from past editions have raised more than $35,000 donated to Monarto Safari Park to support endangered species. In 2019 the Federation Ultra Trail became part of the first S.A. Five 50's Ultra series; that series is now in its seventh year.
