Murray Bridge Marathon Festival 2026

The Murray Bridge Marathon Festival is scheduled for November 1, 2026 in Murray Bridge, South Australia. The 2026 event is the eighth annual running and is presented as a Halloween edition.

The course starts and finishes beside the Bunyip at Sturt Reserve. It follows the riverside esplanade and reserve, runs along Bridge St, and includes running over the first bridge to span the Murray River; a bridge closure is in place so runners may use the bridge during the event.

Distances offered in 2026 include:

• 5 km Monster Mash Fun Run where children may dress in Halloween costumes
• 10 km covering highlights of the longer course
• 21.1 km half marathon along the riverside course

The full marathon distance has been removed from the 2026 program because of construction works on the levee banks. The marathon distance is expected to return in 2027.
