Murray Bridge Marathon Festival

The Murray Bridge Marathon Festival takes place on Sunday 1 November 2026 in Murray Bridge, South Australia. It is the eighth annual running of the event and is presented as a Halloween edition, with multiple timed and fun race options.

The event offers four distances:

  • 5 km Halloween Fun Run, Monster Mash for kids and families.
  • 10 km All the highlights of the marathon course.
  • 21.1 km Half marathon distance.
  • 42.2 km Full marathon distance.

The course starts and finishes by the Bunyip at Sturt Reserve and follows the riverfront. The route includes the riverside esplanade, Sturt Reserve, Bridge Street, and a run over the first bridge to span the Murray River; a temporary bridge closure allows runners to cross that bridge during the event. Course maps are available on the event website.

Registration is open in tiered pricing blocks labeled Super Early Bird, Early Bird, Standard, and Late. Registrations close on 25 October. The 5 km Halloween Fun Run notes a kids special price with a 50 percent discount applied at checkout. The festival is organised by Murraylands Multisports Inc.
