Yurrebilla 56K Ultra

The Yurrebilla 56K Ultra is a 56 km trail race that follows the Yurrebilla Trail across the western face of the Adelaide Hills. The route passes through National Parks and Conservation Reserves beneath the Mt Lofty summit and remains within about 12 km of central Adelaide. The course offers gorges, waterfalls, wildlife and seasonal wildflowers. Course maps and files are provided, including a Garmin course, a PDF map, a GPX file and an altitude profile. An event handbook details drink stations and other logistics.

The event provides support stops along the route and uses access roads and fire tracks to maintain safety without reducing the bush-trail experience. Entrants must register and start in an appropriate wave; athletes who wish to be eligible for podium places and some awards must register and start in the Outright Race Group. Aid stations open on scheduled times; arriving before an aid station opens may result in being held or disqualified.

Transport is arranged from the finish at Foxfield Oval to the 56 km start at Belair Railway Station; parking at the finish is limited and runners are expected to book seats for bus transport. Drop bags may be labelled and left at the start for collection to Cleland Conservation Park (21 km), Norton Summit (35 km) or Foxfield Oval (finish).

Mandatory items include a fully charged mobile phone, a space blanket and a collapsible drinking cup. Recommended items include basic first aid, a light waterproof breathable jacket, hat, tissues and sunscreen. Three official training runs are listed for 20/07/25, 17/08/25 and 14/09/25.
