About the race
The Belair National Park race is the third event in the ATR Summer Series 2026-27, scheduled for 17 January 2027. This meeting includes the series' XL course held at Belair, listed as 27 km for the Belair XL distance. Belair is also the date used to determine competitors' age-group classification for the season; age on 17 January 2027 decides which 10-year category a runner is placed in for the series.
Belair XL forms part of the new XL 3-race series (Belair XL, Robe Run 42.2 km and Surf Run 30 km). To qualify for XL-series awards a runner must compete in at least two of those three races. The Belair XL has a course cut-off of 4 hours. Minimum age for XL entry is 15 years.
Series prize eligibility is limited to the male and female categories as defined by gender at birth; non-binary entrants are welcome but there are no prize categories for them. Series scoring rules apply to Belair as one of the six Summer Series races: only the best four scores count toward series totals, and overall distance winners take precedence over age-group wins. Bib pick-up for Summer Series races is on race morning from 6:30am onwards. Entries for the 2026-27 Summer Series opened on Friday 4 September at 12:00pm and the series concludes at Surf Run in Port Elliot in March.
