About the race

The ATR Summer Series 2026-27 is a six-race trail running series organised by Adelaide Trail Runners across South Australian venues from November 2026 to March 2027. The series begins on 22 November 2026 and concludes with Surf Run in Port Elliot on the weekend of 13-14 March 2027. One event is scheduled at Belair National Park on 17 January 2027. Distances and course types in the series include: - XL Course (Belair XL, 27 km) - Long Course (18–22 km) - Medium Course (13–15 km) - Short Course (8–11 km) - 5 km option Series scoring and prizes follow a points system where only the best four scores from the six races are counted.

Points are awarded to the top five overall and top five in each age group; Robe Run and Surf Run carry a 50% bonus to points. A separate XL Series (Belair XL, Robe Run marathon, Surf Run 30 km) uses specific age categories: Under 25, 25–40, 40–55, and 55+. To qualify for series awards a competitor must start at least four events; XL Series qualification requires participation in at least two of the three XL races.

Overall distance winners take precedence over age-group wins. Age-group classification is determined by the competitor’s age on 17 January 2027. Minimum entry ages are 15 for XL and Long, 12 for Medium, and 10 for Short (younger entries may be considered with prior permission). Entry fees and series-entry discounts apply, and entries open Friday 4 September 2026 at 12:00pm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
