Race #5 Mount Bold : TRSA Trail Championship at Mount Bold Reservoir
This event is the TRSA Trail Championship held at Mount Bold Road, Kangarilla, in the Mount Bold Reservoir Reserve. The reserve surrounds South Australia’s largest reservoir and includes over 5,500 hectares of land with native vegetation and areas of conservation significance.
The course passes through stringybark and manna gum woodlands, swamps and creeks and offers views across the dam wall and the Mount Lofty Ranges. Facilities and services include drink stations offering water, Tailwind and lollies (participants must bring their own drinking container), prizes and trophies for championship placegetters, sponsor tents, free fruit and nibbles, and a post-event member-only random draw. Botanic Health provides a quick massage at the event. An optional lunch at Anvers Wines is available after the event.
Rules and entry notes: walkers may take part only in the short event, late entries are not accepted and entries close on the Thursday before the event. Routes may change and participants are required to stay ahead of course sweepers; course cutoffs are strictly enforced.
