Granite Island Run - Victor Harbor
The Granite Island Run takes place on 16 August 2026 in Victor Harbor, South Australia. The event uses the Granite Island causeway and coastal trails around Victor Harbor, a location about one hour by car from Adelaide.
The course surface and features include the causeway, tram lines, gravel trails, and sections with stairs and a steep climb on Granite Island. Runners will encounter several short, sharp climbs and coastal viewpoints along the south coast.

Entry and participation notes: runners in the long and short courses must be at least 12 years old on race day unless accompanied by an adult. The long and short courses are not suitable for wheelchairs or prams; the Kids Dash over the causeway is suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Dogs are not permitted on Granite Island except for assistance dogs; organisers ask to be informed if an assistance dog will be present.
Logistics and services: online registration closes the Thursday before race day, with in-person entries available on race morning unless sold out and subject to additional fees (Long course $20, Short course $10, Kids Dash no fee). Race packs posted to entrants are posted about three weeks before the event; local pick up at The Running Company is available from Saturday 1 to Friday 14 August 2026. Bag drop tents are unmanned during the event. Electronic transponder timing is used; race bibs contain timing tags and should be worn at waist height on the outside front of clothing. Results are provisional until the Wednesday after the event. Refund options include a basic refund less a 20% administration fee up to four weeks before the event and an optional Diamond Cover with extended refund protection.
